Digital creativity in teacher education 1.
The course called "Digital creativity in teacher
training" addresses the following topics:
- The main concepts and pedagogical approaches
around digital creativity;
- Introduction to the creative digital didactic skills
derived from the activities of the DoCENT Project
funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement2017-1-IT02-KA203-036807);

based learning, robotics, manipulative and tangible technologies and applications in STEM;

2. Teaching foreign languages: theories, methods and tools
The course aims to provide a general recognition of the
theoretical-applicative issues related to the teaching
and learning of foreign languages. It will be carried out
alongapath that will accompany the student to
understand the processes that characterize the different
phases of learning and teaching an L2, from the
problems of the theoretical basis to the indications for
the development of linguistic-communicative skills in
the classroom (including virtual). We will move from a first part dedicated to recognizing the theoretical bases of the discipline
(what it means to learn an L2, what happens in the head of a student when he comes into contact
with a new language, the hypotheses that have been formulated over the years to describes this
phenomenon, etc.), to a second, more applied part in which the aspects related to the promotion
of foreign languages in the different educational contexts will be presented (starting from the
presentation of the methods, to reach problems related to the assessment of skills, going through
the ways in which it is possible to develop language skills in the classroom and remotely via
online). The course is organized by the
University for Foreigners of Siena 3. Learning with the smartphone
In this course we will try to understand what are the
cognitive, psychological and social effects of the now
ubiquitous use of the smartphone. Like all technologies, it
also has characteristics that facilitate our social, work and
study processes, but which can also generate critical
problems at the same time, especially due to excessive use,
attracting what is called "smartphone addiction".
This addiction can have significant adverse effects in the socio-relational domain, in occupational
performance, and especially in school and academic performance, and appears to particularly affect
younger age groups. It is a problem whose importance has been perceived for some time both at the
research level and in the social sphere, so much so that effective strategies to combat it are being
tested around the world.
On the other hand, the Smartphone encompasses many technologies (e.g. audio, video, geo-location, Augmented Reality and others) which, together with the Internet connection, can offer
very interesting opportunities for both formal and informal learning contexts. informal.

4. General and intercultural education
The course provides an introduction to the key topics,
strategies and techniques of education, paying
particular attention to dialogic perspectives, cultural
diversity and critical incidents, three issues that are
offered as a common thread in the various learning
units. The first four lessons present current pedagogical
approaches, resources and tools, with specific attention
to learning environments and dimensions of
observation, listening, collaboration, collective agency.
Considering cultural diversity as an asset, the following lessons describe theories, tools, and
practical examples of educational and policy approaches in culturally diverse settings. The final
lesson discusses pedagogies of hope and the role of education in relation to the capacity to aspire.
Each lesson hosts contributions from one of8researchers and practitioners from different
geographies and educational settings. The course is organized by the
University of Padua
5. The ethics of educational professions
The course aims to explore the ethical and pedagogical
reasons for a deontology of the educational professions.
Starting from some considerations regarding
professional ethics in general, in order to understand
the instances common to all professions with a code of
ethics, we will proceed to analyze the reasons that refer
to the ethics of educational professions as such,
referring to the specifics of educational action and
responsibilities on which this implies.
We will conclude with some considerations regarding the constructive role that a code of ethics or a
charter of ethics can have - at this historical moment - with which individual educational institutions
can be equipped, in support of their cultural and professional identity. The course is organized by the
