In this role I was primarily the teacher to preschool students, ages 2-5 years old, having just a portion of my schedule dedicated to teaching elementary aged students, ages ranging from 6-8 ears old. My preschool classes focused on speaking and conversation, vocabulary acquisition, sentence pattern acquisition and application, phonics, and reading simple stories to apply their phonics rules. We also spent time concentrating on math, science, and art. My elementary classes focused primarily on phonics, reading, spelling, grammar acquisition and writing, with concentrations in basic math, science, art, and creative writing.

I was the English language instructor for a total of five classes at TPS. Children's ages range from 6 to 11 years old. Classes focused on vocabulary acquisition, phonics, spelling, essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar structure and application, and speaking fluency.

I taught multiple classes during my year and a half with HESS International Education Organization. For my morning schedule I was primarily a preschool teacher, students aged from 2-4 years old. In the afternoon, my schedule consisted of teaching elementary school aged students, 6-10 years old. Classes focused on vocabulary acquisition, spelling, phonics usage and pronunciation, grammar structure and application, basic writing skills, reading comprehension, and speaking fluency. Over my time with HESS I also taught a total of three sciences classes, one art class, and I wrote and directed a musical play for one my preschool classes.

In my first position as an English teacher in Taiwan I taught four main classes multiple times a week. My student's ages ranged from 6 to 12 years old. Classes focused on phonics, vocabulary and spelling, grammar structure and application, basic writing skills, reading comprehension, and speaking fluency.

In this role I coached and guided 40 high school seniors through all processes involved in applying for, enrolling, and attending college. I assisted my students in processes such as college applications, Financial Aid (both FAFSA and the Minnesota Dream Act), financial aid verification, scholarships, college enrollment, and registration. I led students in meetings and presentations multiple days during the week, in College Possible organizational activities, and events such as campus visits, a service day, and the End of the Year Celebration for students.

College Possible is a non-profit organization that provides mentors who support and assist high school and college students in their pursuit to gain a college education. Most of the students in the program were first generation college students in their families and needed some assistance in finding good financial options for their college experience. As a Transition Coach, I also assisted and facilitated in the recruitment of new students for the College Possible high school program, at four different high schools, with four different high school teams. I also supported first year college students on completing important milestones towards earning their college degree, as well as offered additional resources and services for students to utilize. This support was concentrated during the spring and summer months, in the transition period from their first to second year of college.
