Developed Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions to automate the deployment process for a mobile application. Utilized AWS ECS to deploy a mobile application, ensuring efficient and scalable deployment infrastructure. Designed CI/CD pipelines for a React Native mobile application hosted on Expo, streamlining the development process and ensuring seamless integration of new features and updates. Provisioned cloud infrastructure in AWS using Terraform, ensuring consistency, scalability and reproducibility of the environment.

Developed and deployed a custom Docker image on AWS Fargate, enabling the hosting of a web application with enhanced functionality, including form submission and server-side processing using PHP. Implemented an inventory tracking system using AWS serverless technology services. The system leverages AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, DynamoDB and Simple Notification Service (SNS) to create a scalable solution for tracking inventory levels and sending notifications. Migrated a MariaDB database that runs on an Amazon EC2 instance to a MariaDB database that runs on Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) and configured a web application to use the new database to store data for all future orders. Created AWS CloudFormation templates and used them to create and update CloudFormation stacks. Used AWS CodeCommit to control the version of my templates and AWS CodePipeline to automate stack updates.

Launched the weekly KenyaBuzz epaper on Nation Media's e-paper web platform and achieved a 100% on-time launch of the e-paper within the set deadline. Improved the open rate from 5% to 25% after implementing email segmentation, personalized content and optimized send times. Attained 50% increase in brand mentions and reach across external publications by distributing weekly and monthly content to external publications thereby ensuring brand visibility and audience.
