Mab-Venture was founded in 2013 in Shanghai’s Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park by industry veterans with decades of experience in multinational biopharma companies. In 2015, Mab-Venture subsequently moved to a 1700 sq.m. facility in the Shanghai International Medical Zone and are continuing to expand with >5000 sq.m. of R&D space expected to be available by the end of H1 2017. Mab-Venture’s goal is to provide high quality biologics to domestic and international partners through innovative technology platforms. As of 2017, Mab-Venture has more than 100 employees globally and plans to continue to add employees and R&D space throughout the year. In 2017, Mab-Venture announced a Strategic Partnership with Thermo Fisher to build Asia’s First SmartFactory for antibody production. In 2017, Mab-Legend Biotech Co., Ltd. was founded by Dr. George Wang and Dr. John L. Xu. Built upon the mature biologics CDMO technology platform of Mab-Venture Biopharma Co., Ltd., Mab-Legend focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of innovative biologic medicines. Mab-Legend is especially focused on monoclonal antibody-based drugs, for the treatment of cancers, inflammatory and autoimmune disorders, as well as cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
