WHO ARE WE? The United Nations Maritime and Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance (UNMCSR) Project is an inter-city cooperation platform launched by the Chinese government and UN. In the past two years, more than 30 cities have joined the Cities Alliance, forging a network of international high-level resources and high-caliber talents. ABOUT UNMCSR-SNC The United Nations Maritime and Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance Smart City & New Industry Committee (UNMCSR-SNC) was launched in 2016, with focus on smart city and new industry development. Though launched only two year ago, it has successfully held “2016 Vienna-Chongqing Cultural Festival” and started several national, high profile, and cross-border initiatives and projects, including “Silk Road Smart City and New Industry Think Tank” and the“Sino-Austrian Cultural Park” aiming at connecting cities for win-win cooperation. WHAT IS OUR MISSION? UNMCSR aims at promoting economic, technological, cultural interaction and talent exchange among cites, regions and countries through the UN global network in support of the wider vision of enhancing cooperation among the 21st century “Silk Road Economic Belt” and the “Maritime Silk Road”.
