Job responsibilities
Prepare and Submit Customs Documentation Handle the preparation and submission of customs declaration forms and related documents, ensuring all provided documents are complete, accurate, and valid. Tax Payments and Refunds Apply for and manage tax payments, tax refunds, and supplementary taxes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tax-related matters. Processing Trade Operations Apply for and manage the registration (and amendments) of processing trade contracts, deep processing transfers, subcontracting, domestic sales, abandonment approvals, surplus material transfers, verification, and bonded supervision tasks. Tax Reduction and Exemption Handle applications for tax reductions and exemptions for import and export goods, staying updated on relevant tax incentive policies. Customs Inspection and Clearance Assist customs with the inspection and clearance of import and export goods, including cooperating with on-site inspections, moving goods, unsealing, and resealing packages. Compliance and Knowledge of Goods Comply with national laws, regulations, and customs rules, and maintain a thorough understanding of the goods being declared. Other Duties Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
Job requirements
Educational Background Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related fields. Work Experience At least 3 years of working experience in customs declaration or import/export operations. Experience in the glove manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Language Proficiency Must be proficient in Chinese (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with suppliers, clients, and teams. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia; understanding English is an added advantage. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of customs regulations, documentation, and procedures in Indonesia. Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations, tax exemptions, and related processes. Knowledge of tariff classifications, import/export permits, and relevant trade policies. Skills and Abilities Proficiency in preparing and submitting customs declarations accurately and efficiently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in tax calculations and compliance issues. Ability to handle customs inspections and clearance procedures. Communication and Collaboration Good communication skills to liaise effectively with customs officers, freight forwarders, and internal teams. Compliance and Detail-Oriented Familiarity with Indonesian customs laws and international trade regulations. Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation. Computer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customs-related software. Experience with e-customs platforms is a plus. Adaptability and Initiative Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected challenges effectively. Willingness to learn and stay updated on changes in customs policies and industry trends.
