Job responsibilities
- Vision and mission development: work closely with the other co-founders to establish the vision, mission and values of the English language school. Clarify the school's educational philosophy and goals to ensure they meet the needs and expectations of students and parents. - Business Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the school, including market analysis, financial projections and operational plans. Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to expand the school's reach and enhance its reputation. - TEAM BUILDING AND MANAGEMENT: Hire and manage a team of qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the team is aligned with the school's vision and goals. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth. - CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND INSTRUCTIONAL OVERSIGHT: Oversees the development and implementation of the school's curriculum to ensure that it meets high quality standards and meets the needs of students. Collaborate with teachers to design engaging and effective lesson plans and oversee their implementation. - Marketing and Branding: develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the school and attract new students. Builds and maintains the school's brand image through a variety of channels, such as website, social media, and advertising. Collaborate with external partners and organizations to increase the school's visibility and reputation. - Financial Management: oversee the financial management of the school, including budgeting, cost control and revenue generation. Work with the finance team to ensure the financial stability and sustainability of the school. - Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure that the school complies with all relevant regulations, policies and standards. Keep abreast of changes in the educational landscape and adjust school operations accordingly. - Community Involvement: Build and maintain relationships with the local community, including parents, educational organizations, and other stakeholders. Represent the school at public events and meetings to promote the school's values and accomplishments.
Job requirements
- Educational background: Typically, a degree in education or a related field is preferred. However, a strong business or management background is also beneficial. A basic understanding of educational principles and practices, as well as the ability to apply business strategies to school operations, is critical. - PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in the field of education, particularly in a leadership or management role, is preferred. This can provide valuable insight into operational challenges and opportunities within the industry. In addition, experience in starting or growing a business is beneficial in strategizing and managing the financial aspects of a school. - VISION AND LEADERSHIP: As a co-founder, it is critical to have a clear vision for the school and the ability to inspire and lead others to realize that vision. Leadership skills including decision making, problem solving and team management are critical. - Business acumen: the ability to understand and manage the financial aspects of running a business is critical. This includes budgeting, cost control, revenue generation and strategic planning. - INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills are critical to working with teachers, staff, parents and other stakeholders. The ability to listen, understand and respond to the needs of diverse constituencies is critical. - CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION: The ability to think creatively and recognize new opportunities for growth and improvement is critical for co-founders. This includes keeping up with the latest trends in education and technology and exploring innovative ways to enhance school planning and operations. - Passion for Education: A strong commitment to education and a belief in the importance of English language learning is fundamental to this role. Co-founders should be passionate about providing quality education and creating a positive learning environment for students.
