Job responsibilities
Quality Engineer, under the leadership of the Quality Manager, handles customer sampling & qualification, customer quality claim and communication, and quality clarification with customer in general, and support internal quality control and process topic. The QE is responsible for: 1.Be overall responsible for the sample inspection including: a)Sample Inspection Planning in accordance with the Technical Department, SCM Department & Quality Control Department, incl. technical drawing review. b)Lead the sample inspection and set up the 1st article inspection reports for customers. c)Communicate the sample inspection results with customers & related Departments within Shanghai & initiate the shipment of the sample if applicable. d)Set up & provide assembly related quality requirements where necessary & control the appropriate usage within the Assembly Department. e)Be responsible for final inspection of all samples to make sure they fulfill the customers’ requirements before they leave the company. f)Follow up on the customers’ sample inspection activities & be responsible for the smooth, accurate & detailed inspection results within the organization. 2.Ensure that customers’ requirements are met for all items delivered by Shanghai. a)Make sure the quality requirements of the customers are available, provided to the related employees and are understood. b)Be responsible for the quality control within the Assembly Department and ensure that the assembly process is stable. c)Do the outgoing quality control (OQC) on all products and services provided to the customers. d)Develop & implement appropriate quality control measures within the internal value chain, make sure they are being followed, monitor & report the results within the organization. e)Implement corrective & preventive action where necessary. 3.Handling customer quality claims, lead the root cause investigation & implement corrective and preventive actions. a)Managing the communication between SHA Factory and customers of quality related topics. b)Enable the continuous improvement of the quality management system and quality awareness within SHA Factory. 4.Work closely with Purchasing, Operations and Technical Department to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements. 5.Responsible for quality control plan to ensure the quality level of new product introduction and mass production; 6.Other tasks assigned by Quality Manager, provide necessary support to other functional departments;
