(Native teachers only for English teacher, non-natives welcome to apply for the science teacher role) In this International School, pupils follow a blended bilingual programme with English first language teachers and Chinese bi-lingual teachers in every class in the Pre-K, Pre School, Prep and Senor Schools. Following the successful model of excellence of our partner school, Bromsgrove School UK, pupils are taught by subject specialists following our blended curriculum. Chinese and Morality are taught using Chinese language. Art and Design, Humanities, Mathematics, Music, PE and Science are sometimes taught in Chinese and sometimes in English. Computer Science, Drama and English are taught in English. As we progress to IGCSE and A' levels the pupils increasingly study in English in order to ensure they are well prepared for IGCSE examinations where the language used is English. Nevertheless, we still keep their Chinese language skills strong. Career Opportunity: Early Years Homeroom Teacher Position Overview: With recognition that our staff are the school’s most valuable resource, we are seeking to appoint an exemplary Pre School Teacher to build positive relationships with students, deliver our dynamic play-based programme as well as a team of experienced Early Childhood Educators from around the world from August 2024, to build an engaging learning environment and exceptional outcomes for students. Qualifications: 1. University degree (BA/B.Sc) or equivalent; 2. Teacher Qualifications (B.Ed/M.Ed/PGCE/QTS) or equivalent; 3. Have at least 2-year relevant teaching experiences: 4. Native English speaker; 5. Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of early childhood frameworks such as the Canadian educational system, PYP, EYFS, Reggio Emilia (preferred) ; 6. A positive, caring, collaborative team-player with a passion for early childhood education (required). Job Description: 1. Create outstanding and engaging play-based learning environments; 2. Build strong routines for young children to enhance their sense of well-being and belonging; 3. Offer all children in your care respect, equity and opportunities; 4. Engage wholeheartedly in parent communication and offer opportunities for parents to engage in learning; 5. Document learning to value children’s achievements, celebrate successes and plan for next steps; 6. Initiate, innovate and inspire; 7. Coplan, coassess and codelivery the BMH Pre School Curriculum to your class; 8. Develop engaging and developmentally appropriate Inquiry Units within our established Programme of Inquiry; 9. Delivery regular language learning opportunities through a range of strategies including Read-alouds, Guided Reading, Role Play, writing tasks and daily reflection activities; 10. Create meaningful links between different areas of the curriculum within each Inquiry Unit to make learning relevant, engaging and interconnected for our young learners; 11. Manage daily routines including playtimes and transitions; 12. Undertake CoCurricular Activities to enrich student learning; 13. Organise and participating in events in order to build community, celebrate success and showcase learning to parents. Annual Salary Scale: 1. Three to six years relevant teaching experiences: 300-400K; 2. Six to nine years relevant teaching experiences: 400-500K 3. Over nine years relevant teaching experiences: 500K+. Note: Fully paid from August 1, 2024.
