Overall responsibility To develop and design mechanical parts and housings for lamps and electronic devices accordingly customer requirements, research on materials. Develop manufacturing and assembly methods; Optimize developed products for manufacturing, design quality and reliability. Job Duties: a) Mechanical parts design and improvement. 1. Do evaluation of the concept, do stack-up design, create ID , 3D & 2D data base on PRD, schedule, CDM ,standards and other project documents 2. Write performance requirements for mechanical parts, create mechanical design BOM, create technology documents, compile part numbers, verify system BOM for products. 3. Domain mechanical parts quotation, and compare the quotation and select economic, suitable material and process based on PRD with team members, and cost down. 4. Confer with project team member, to share technical information and keep up with project progress. 5. Study manufacturing processes of the products to improve mechanical parts. Do DFX, DFMEA, tolerance analysis 6. Construct and oversee technicians in construction of product samples. Work with team members to make products and their production with good functions, good quality and meet manufacturing capibility. b) Production trouble shooting, mechanical based Do analysis and find the root cause of the issue in production, present solutions to close the issue and update the relative documents accordingly. Manage modification process. c) Purchase support Provide technical support to purchase department. Interface with outside vendors for mechanical part selection, manufacturing, and assembly. d). Additional tasks to be assigned by superior when necessary.

1. More than 5 years of working experience on mechanical design. 2. Degree in Engineering or related disciplines, postgraduate will be a plus. 3. Good English verbal and written communication capability. 4. Possess knowledge in mechanical design of whole products like lamp fixtures. 5. Understand general business operation including knowledge of costs, manufacturing process, quality and documentation system.
