As Head of Global Security, I am responsible for setting the strategy and global
initiatives to protect personnel and assets against external threat, to maintain
effective business continuity measures, and to be able to respond to likely
contingencies in our operational areas of interest.
In order to achieve these outcomes, I set the direction for contingency
planning, manage and facilitate the flow of intelligence, enforce the policy for
physical security, and target corruption utilising an internal task force. This
role requires strong planning abilities, high level communication skills, and
the strategic mindset to tackle issues within a workforce of over 4,000 people,
across 5 continents.
Key highlights from my time in this role (so far):
- Optimised expenditure to increase security quality and reduce costs by 5%
from €5mil to €4.75mil.
- Govern the organisational security policies for 56 countries across 5
continents.
- Author the global security strategy to ensure protection against internal and
external threat.
- Corroborate threat assessments through the management of multiple
intelligence functions.
- Advise and guide executive management on the threats and risks in our
operational areas of interest.
- Target and investigate organisational corruption through the utilisation of an
anti-corruption taskforce.
- Direct the contingency planning mandate in order to maintain effective
business continuity.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of organisational contingency
response mechanisms.
- Set and maintain global security KPIs to ensure the continued maturity of the
company.
- Direct the rectification plans for key security weaknesses to support IPO
readiness.
- Lead multiple teams and cross-functional elements to support and achieve
strategic security initiatives.

for the governance, compliance, and policy for micro-mobility operations
across Europe. Formalising procedures, identifying systemic deficiencies,
and developing strategic improvement pathways are crucial functions of this
role; in order to ensure that optimal efficiency is being met at a global level.
This role requires individuals to have strong planning abilities, high level
communication skills, and a robust ability to coordinate operations across
an operating spectrum of over 1,000 people in 25 countries. I joined Bolt at
a pivotal moment midway through its rapid expansion in revenue, and I also
supported the micromobility expansion into a number of European countries,
