Assessed the current WASH and IPC practices within the healthcare facility to identify areas for improvement. Observed and scored facilities for infection prevention measures, water availability, sanitation, and hygiene measures using a score guide/assessment survey tool. Conducted interviews with heads of facilities on the status of water services, handwashing services, cleaning, and IPC practices within the facilities. Developed action plans and quality improvement strategies based on assessment findings and evidence-based guidelines. Administered attending provider interview questionnaires. Assessed whole facilities using protocol assessment survey tools. Translated facilitators’ guides, interview guides, and FGD guides into Igbo and interpreted during FGDs and interviews to ensure effective communication.
