My role at Kilgraston School has been to teach swimming to children in various groups/settings but I have also been
tasked/responsible with weekly cleaning of the pool building which has made me well versed in cleaning. I have also
had many conversations with parents/customers asking questions either over phone or in person. On weeks where
there has been no lessons I have painted areas of the building or done deep cleaning with a power washer. When
term runs as usual weekly stock takes and assessment of the pool building are necessary e.g Making sure first aid
kits are properly equipped, making sure everything we need is present and there are no structural faults.
At this job I have also had access to many online cpds which include but not limited to fire safety, inclusivity at work,
safeguarding vulnerable groups

My role at swim world is to teach improver level kids from poolside and beginners from in the water. I have the
responsibility of my own register aswell as an online checkbook that I have to update each week on the progress of
the participants and adding a personal note for each participant so the parents can see an update of their child's
lessons in their own time

At Piperdam my role has been to teach classes with a range of 1-4 children from preschool classes in the morning to
1-6 children from school age later on in the day. I also take a range of levels using multiple lessons plans throughout
the day. I liase with parents regarding progress and feedback. Additionally I have been taking 1-1s and 2-1 lessons at
piperdam
Before lessons start I assess the pool and poolside for any hazzards, retrieve the register from the office and set up
poolside equipment

My role at David Lloyd as a self employed swimming instructor has been to cover staff absences, this has gave me
additional experience teaching adult lessons, club swimming and their wide range of levels all the way down to
preschool.
Before lessons start I have the responsibility of retrieving daily and block registers, setting out equipment and lane
ropes.
