Job responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
Content planning and editing
Based on market demand and readers' feedback, plan the topics and contents of the weekly newspaper to ensure that the contents are in line with the positioning and style of the weekly newspaper.
Organize and guide the editorial team to write, edit and proofread the articles to ensure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the content.
Review the articles and propose revisions to ensure that the style is uniform and the content is rich and interesting.
Team Management and Training
Set up and manage the editorial team, clarify team members' responsibilities and tasks, and ensure the smooth publication of the weekly newspaper.
Organize regular team meetings to share editing experience, exchange industry trends and improve the overall editing level of the team.
According to the characteristics and needs of team members, formulate training plans and provide necessary editing skills training and guidance.
Market development and cooperation
Focus on the market performance and readers' feedback of the weekly newspaper, analyze competitors and market trends, and propose market expansion strategies.
Establish and maintain good cooperative relationships with advertisers and partners to gain more resources and support for the weekly newspaper.
Participate in the marketing activities of the weekly newspaper to enhance the brand awareness and influence of the weekly newspaper.
Internal communication and coordination
Maintain close communication with the editor-in-chief and other editorial team members, and coordinate and solve problems that arise during the editing process of the weekly newspaper.
Participate in the layout, printing and distribution processes of the weekly newspaper to ensure its smooth release and delivery.
Job Requirements
-At least 2 years of professional editing or writing experience
-Native English speaker
-Strong communication skills
-Strong design skills
-Basic Chinese language skills
-Knowledge of Beijing's expat community
-Enthusiastic about community involvement
-Obsessive about deadlines
-Extremely strong organizational skills
-Understand the basics of inbound (online) marketing
