Job responsibilities
The incumbent ensures that the “Sourcing and Product Development team” focusses on the customer experience while setting targets, planning and adhering to budgets, controlling operational expenditures, coaching, training and inspiring relevant team members, implementing strategies aligned with the C levels to further increase the maturity of the teams, improving process efficiency by applying company-wide software and tools, achieving growth and cost efficiency for expondo. As our Procurement Director, you'll lead our sourcing and product development team across three offices in China, focusing on: • Launching new products aligned with our category structure • Developing high-potential product proposals • Managing a team of sourcing professionals • Growing our China-based e-commerce platform sales • Integrating with our global strategy" The incumbent ensures that the “Sourcing and Product Development team” focusses on the customer experience while setting targets, planning and adhering to budgets, controlling operational expenditures, coaching, training and inspiring relevant team members, implementing strategies aligned with the C levels to further increase the maturity of the teams, improving process efficiency by applying company-wide software and tools, achieving growth and cost efficiency for expondo.
Job requirements
• A master’s degree in mechanical engineering, MBA or similar discipline from a reputable university • You should have 10+ years working experience in leading roles in international companies, with experience in B2B and industrial appliances, professional kitchen appliance, power tools or similar • Western National with Fluent English communication and capability to mastering the local regional language • Experience in working directly with suppliers in China and other countries • Extensive experience managing supplier relationships and be a great storyteller • Experiences with the technology of electronic and mechanical appliances and relevant manufacturing processes • Understanding of CE requirements for the European market and the implications for the sourced products • Understanding of factory quality processes such as (IQC, IPQC, FQC, etc.) • Experience working in international company, in managerial position across multiple teams, projects and products • Strong management sense and willingness to further develop management skills and responsibility • Significant deep experience with statistical analysis and data • Report and hand all issues in a professional manner • Strong interpersonal & communication and training skills • Honest, keen in details, hard-working, team player and responsible • Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure • Experience in working with OKR methodology is an asset
