The technology project manager is a crucial position to be a bridge between the project/account teams and the electronic engineering team. They will oversee the work that the software, hardware, and test engineers are doing and need to be fully aware of their workload in order to prioritize tasks on a weekly and daily basis. They will work with the global tech management to assess priorities according to our overall company strategy as well as work with the local Shenzhen management team to balance that with the immediate project tasks. They will also be a key point of contact for the project and account teams to ask technical questions, and will be responsible to find answers, no matter if that means consulting other team members or doing research. They should have an understanding of hardware to be able to read schematics and understand technical terminology related to electronic components and functionality. They should also understand the logic of how software is programmed and know some basic coding terminology. They need to be very flexible, hardworking, and willing to jump in and help the team. Lastly, they should be very organized to keep the team on track and pay close attention to manage timelines. Responsibilities Summary: -Monitor daily tasks of SW and HW engineers and prioritize based on feedback from Tech Director and SZ management -Prioritize the tech team's tasks as needed to factor in project team needs and company strategy -Meet with CTO, Tech Director, and global tech team weekly to understand current needs, short term plans, and long term strategy -Ensure proper documentation for tech team (electronics files, version control, etc.) -Answer technical requests from project teams and find answers through consultation or research -Assist with and coordinate testing with QA Manager -Work with project and tech team to manage development of new internal Outform products -Research new technologies and evaluate new suppliers technical capabilities -Analyze costs of electronic components compared to market prices to assist project teams with evaluating supplier quotations -Manage the creation and editing of functional spec documents. -Coordinate Outform product strategy with CTO, Tech Director, and global tech team. -Evaluate feasibility of concepts and implement potential design and process changes to improve product performance and manufacturability -Train suppliers in the “The Outform Way”, the methods we use for development, IP transfer, prototyping, quality control, etc. -Organize review meetings for electronic designs. -As needed, assist tech team with urgent engineering work and assist project teams with project related tasks. -Communicate well with everyone, whether customers, account managers overseas, colleagues in China, and vendors -Travel domestically to support projects -Join kickoff meetings and provide risk assessments

Minimum Requirements (Must-Have): -Bachelor's degree -Native or native-level fluency in English, both written and oral. -At least 5 years experience in project management, electronics development, or related field -Understand hardware and software to the level of having advanced technical discussions -Intermediate level of Chinese to speak with staff and suppliers clearly about project objectives. -Currently living in China or able to relocate within one month. -Experience with manufacturing and/or product development in China -Experience communicating directly with customers in the USA and Europe -Great computer skills, and experience in using office applications, project management tools, conferencing tools -Great Critical-Thinking Skills -Strong Communication Ability -Able to solve problems independently Candidate Requirements: -Organized and detail oriented to keep track of actions, timelines, documentation, etc. -Good at simplifying complicated technical issues into key points to help sales team make decisions -Good communicator who can get to the point efficiently while still making sure all issues are addressed. -Ability to deduct clear actions from meetings and interpret that into specific tasks for the team. -Confident and well spoken in front of customers -Driven "Go-getter" attitude to do whatever it takes to make project successful -Team player who is good at working with engineers as well as sales people -Ability to analyze problems, narrow down root issue, and think of creative solutions. -Good people management skills to supervise and direct small team. -Current or prior experience with projects that utilize diverse technology solutions -Experience working with vendors/suppliers in China to develop new products. -Understanding of electronic hardware development -Experienced with software development projects Additional Skills (Nice to Have): -Fluent spoken Mandarin Chinese -Experience in retail fixtures or in-store marketing industries -Experience using web-based project and software development tools -Product management experience
